More baskets
It's the end of Challenge week! I finished my goal of completing my 12 basket blocks, plus made two more!
I got my 12 baskets done and needed one more to fill out the layout, but the only prints I hadn't used were the laurel dots. I wasn't sure which one, if any, would work well so I made one of each.
This did not make the cut. However, when I showed my progress to my husband he suggested I make it bed sized since I had so much fabric left. I'm a lot nervous about farming out my quilting...so I haven't decided yet what to do.

I love your fabric choices for your baskets! It really is pretty!
ReplyDeleteI could totally see that in a bed size quilt, very lovely. If I had the time I would hand quilt everything, but alas I do not and have no confidence in doing machine quilting on my little ole' sewing machine. So I have had most of my quilts quilted by someone else using their long arm. Spendy, but well worth having them done.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! I agree with your husband that you should make it bed sized. I don't quilt so I don't understand what you said about farming it out.
ReplyDeleteLove those fabrics you used. I think a full size quilt would look beautiful!
ReplyDeletelooks wonderful! could you make a matching pillow with the leftover block?
ReplyDeleteI agree a bed sized quilt would be super.I am a hand quilter and it goes a lot faster than you might think. With such pretty blocks you don't need to pick a fancy quilt design.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lofty goal you reached! Your baskets look so good.
